Biography

Belinda Yen-Lieberman, Ph.D., is a professor of Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Previously, she was the Medical Director of Clinical & Molecular Virology and Serology. Since June, 2015 she became a Consultant Staff at Dept. of Laboratory Medicine, Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Yen-Lieberman has authored more than 100 articles from numerous medical journals on wide range of topics involving viruses and other infectious diseases. These Include studies on HPV, HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C viruses and tests for Herpes Simplex 1 & 2, Respiratory viruses and Tuberculosis. Dr. Yen-Lieberman serves on the Editorial boards of J Clinical Virology, J Clinical Microbiology and J of Clinical and Vaccine Immunology. She served on the CLIA subcommittees M53-An on Criteria for Laboratory Testing and Diagnosis of Human Immunodeficiency virus Guideline and CLIA MM06-A2 on Quantitative Molecular Methods for Infectious Diseases: approved guideline. She is member of the Advisory Board on the AIDS Clinical Trial Group (ACTG) Virology Quality Assurance Program. She also served on the CDC HIV Rapid Testing Quality Assurance Workgroup and the NIAID/NIH Special Emphasis Panel Study Section.
